JENKINS posted by Oliver Jenkins, III on Thursday, June 4, 1998

Am researching JENKINS line from the wife of Eli JENKINS who is recorded as A.S. JENKINS in the index of Georgia Confederate Pension Files. Eli saw service as a private in Co. F 32nd Georgia Infantry. One of his brothers, William Leroy JENKINS also saw service in Co. E of the 32nd. W.L.Jenkins is my Great-Great-GrandFather. Eli appears to have both married and moved to TERRELL County sometime after 1870, although records indicate that he was born in Randolph County and he is recorded in Quitman County in the 1870 census (unmarried at time). Any linking information would be appreciated!
